Practica free with class.

Start your tango journey with us. Come and learn a new dance and make some friends. We'll teach you the building blocks of tango and then help you develop the technique to dance them! Eash class builds on the last. Stay for the practica afterward, and we will help you combine what you have learned in previous classes. Milongas (Argentine social dances) can be found in most cities around the world. Make friends at home and when you travel.

8:00 - 10:00 PM, Every Wednesday

Beginning, intermediate and advanced dancers are welcome.  We'll dance with you, work on steps you find challenging and/or suggest steps or combinations for you to add to your repertoire. We want this practica to be collaborative. Share material you're working on and we'll help you practice.  This is also a great time to practice your non-dominate role if you've decided to try the other side (lead or follow).  The practica is $10 or free for those taking a class.  Current class cards will be honored for the practica.

Gerry Alonso and the Brothers Alonso will host an Argentine Tango memorial to celebrate the life of Dr. Maria Josefina de Castro Alonso "Joji" to her friends, family and the Baltimore/Washington Argentine tango community. The Alonsos owned and operated Gardel's Supper Club in Baltimore Md. where many of us learned to dance Argentine tango. Gardel's was one of the premiere milongas in the tri-state. The Alonsos brought the New York stage production Color Tango to Gardel's Supper Club. Following the performace, Jason, Angel and Pablo had the final dance with Joji. She finishes the dance with Gerry. It's a beautiful memory for all of us who knew her. Here is a link to a video (Video of Joji).
